I’ve wanted microblading for YEARS. Because unfortunately I was blessed with brows that won’t grow. I researched all the top estheticians in KC, from reviews, pictures, work of mouth, and social media. I narrowed my search and scheduled a consult with Kristine Kay (TAG). She called me less than 30 minutes before my appointment and said she needed to reschedule for another hour out. I don’t live in the waldo area and was already near her salon when she let me know. I was a bit annoyed that I had to kill an hour until she could squeeze me in, since we did have an appt scheduled. During my consult she talked non-stop about politics and conspiracy theories. Despite the red flags, I scheduled my appt for brow microblading.nnThe day of my appointment she was running late again, this time not because of a client just that she was running late to arrive. The procedure lasted 6 HOURS and cost of $600. At first, I was happy with the results but a few weeks later everything disappeared. I texted her and sent pictures to ask if I should be concerned that the color was completely gone, but she responded and said that was normal and that I had white blood cells covering the ink.nnYesterday, I had a retouch appointment scheduled, which is a standard appointment with this procedure. She texted me saying she would be 10 minutes late, however I sat in her lobby waiting for 30 minutes until she finally walked out to greet me. At this point, I expressed my frustration with her not being on time and that I was concerned about the results of my initial microblading session. She told me that this is art and not science and that she can’t control how my skin would hold the ink. She did not apologize for being late, did not express any confidence that the touchup would make a difference in the results, and overall seemed unwilling to acknowledge any of my concerns.nnMy experience was so disappointing, and, in my opinion, she was very unprofessional. I hope that this helps future clients who are considering Kristine Kay, to really think twice.

After tons of research and looking for a well qualified person to do brows, I kept coming across Kristine K. I absolutely love her work and the time she takes to create perfect brows. She is very professional and definitely masters her art. I would wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone!!

Loved my experience at Kristine Kay Spa today! This is actually my second visit for microblading and I simply could not be more pleased! The atmosphere is very pleasant and calm and Kristine was super professional and answered all my questions before getting started (both times)! Getting my brows done with Kristine has definitely been the favorite thing I have done for myself and my friends agree! I had uneven eyebrows (one was higher than the other) and she used her artistry to get them just right - just in time for the holidays! So excited! I will post a pic when healed. Thank you Kristine!
