Vineyard Park Nature Area

Good stop along 70 to stretch your legs and take family/dog on an easy hike. .5 and 1.1 mile loops

Great little nature area. Stocked pond on the south side, several little trails to explore. We didn't catch any fish today, but had a bunch of bites! Word to the wise, BUG SPRAY! We found several ticks after just a short 1/2 mile walk. Other than ticks lots of other wildlife, turtles, birds, snakes. Fun place to spend some time.

A true gem in Hays. We saw various frogs, insects, and bird life at the park. They take good care of it despite the clear challenge of being so close to a busy interstate which I applaud them for. Keep up the good work making a home for Kansan wildlife!

RATTLE SNAKE: I was with my dog today and leaped over a full grown rattle snake! Please be careful!

Nice little nature hike first thing in the morning. The dogs and I really enjoyed it. It's not far from the highway it would make a nice travel stop for people traveling through especially if you are traveling with dogs
