Hays Dog Park

Beautiful dog park in the middle of a large college park/ sports complex.nnSections: Separate small and large dog areas.nGate: Double gated.nWaste: Bags and bins provided.nGrounds: Grass; Well maintained; minimal dog waste left on ground.nSize: Large.nWater: Fountains were available but locked.nFeatures: Permanent fixtures/ activities within gated areas.nSeating: Covered seating area with picnic tables.nBathrooms: Unsure.

My dogs and I go there most days, and it's a really nice park. They have a shaded sitting area, bag stands for poop, and a watering fountain. The biggest downside is the drainage. If it recently rained heavily, the large dog side turns into a swamp for several days. It also has zero lights, so once it's dark, unless the game fields are doing something, then you're in pure darkness. Other than that, though, it's a great place for the dogs to play and exercise!

Great place to let your dogs run, water available, plenty of room to stretch the most crazy furkid legs. I am impressed. Will be bringing the pups back again soon!!

A little muddy but it's a wet winter. There could be more for the dogs to investigate and do. My service dog and I enjoyed being here very much! Nice folks and dogs came by. We'll stop here again.

This dog park is expansive and well maintained. Everyone is friendly and we have never had an issue, the pet owners always seem to be responsible and watch to ensure their pets good behavior! Note that water is not available except for the summer, we have found that it doesn't get turned on until May and off in late September, so you need to bring your own water for your dog.
