It was pretty vool. Lot of places to hike and see where this battle took place. Covid kept us from seeing in any buildings. We will try again when normalcy reigns

Great place to home but not when it is hot

Beautiful place with a great history! Standing in the wagon ruts of the Santa fe trail is quite amazing thinking about the men and women that came so long before you.nThe park is open everyday from Dawn until dusk and holds events at certain times of the year. A nice, quiet place to spend a few hours of your day on a self guided tour of the grounds.nThis is the site of the first battle between free State supporters and proslavery supporters in 1856, and is credited by many historians as being the first battle of the civil war.

Nice place along the trail. Log cabin has a number of neat artifacts.
