Douglas State Fishing Lake

Great weekend get away. We are working from out of state and was a nice place to fish and camp for a few days while we were not working. Directions on the website were a bit off but not anything more than a half a mile at most Town and gas station was within five miles of the lake.

Beautiful, clean. Nice for peaceful ish walking. Just didnt like the gunshots

Always good fishing. No skiing or swimming. Lots of camping and only 5 minutes to convenience store and restaurants. Organic restaurant and the best Mexican restaurant in the county. The hotel has a stuffed grizzled bear in the lobby.

There is a lot of shoreline and a lot of parking space around this lake. Beautiful day trip destination.

Quiet, well maintained area with restrooms, and plenty of fishing spots
