Early morning. Fierce wind making music in the stripped trees, pushing me backward in the open space. Only partly hidden sun splays a corona of rays all over the palette of sky ahead. This is my go-to place for peace.
Great place with a view. If you able hike the other 3.5 miles, which isn't paved but fun to explore.
An amazing trail that overlooks Lawrence from the North. I highly recommend visiting here at least once if you live in Lawrence, as well as the many other trails within the KU Field Station.
