Roth Trailhead

Just turning toward autumn and some recent work done on the trails to make them more accessible...my afternoon was enchanting. You can climb to the overlook to see the land stretched out every which way, but on this day I chose one of the benches below to sit and journal. In the crisp bright air I was rewarded with some insights. Nature heals and offers discoveries inside and out.

Beautiful somewhat secluded hiking area. Easy trails through the woods and pasture. No Mt bikes allowed. Primitive toilet,water and picnic table in the area. Nice area during the fall color change.

Refreshing trail in every season. Well marked trails with several distance options.

Fun, secluded area to hike. It felt like we'd gone on a long trip when we were only just outside the city.

Went there in October and haven't found any ticks yet. We walked the western branch, marked in red on the map at the trailhead, and it was a nice 20 minute walk. Some beautiful woodland scenery to be had at spots. A couple bridges and a creek also made the walk more interesting.nEdit: Have walked two of the other branches and each was a good experience. Further north the trails run through some prairie grass which is a nice change of scenery. There is also a neat overlook spot.
