Bloomington West Campground

I love this campground. To be clear, it is a private campground for larger groups. It is secluded but within a short drive from lake and swim beach access (2 minutes). I have been coming to this campsite for 30+ years and I am glad that I can still bring my family to a place I enjoyed so much as a kid. We have been bringing our church youth group out here for a summer retreat for the last couple of years and it had been a great place that we all enjoy.

Great area! Plenty of room for a large group and facilities are close and well maintained!

I go there once a year for my group's annual campout. It's the only one of the 2 bloomington campgrounds that has an onsite showering and bathroom facility. There's always plenty of things to do including fishing. And the best part is that you can take your pet.

It takes a while to get to, but it is a truly amazing spot.
