Saint Joseph Riverwalk

This a 2.25 mile flat wide paved path north from The Landing in St Joe to Heritage ballpark for no motorized use. The path winds along the Missouri River past the Remington Nature Center and Riverboat Casino. So about 4 to 4.5 miles to travel for a round trip. It would better if there was a public restroom someplace. Parts are being regraded right now, but it doesn't affect the path. There is a thin layer of silt over the path in places from flooding, but it does not affect cycling or walking.

Not bad for a 4.5 mile round trip but the trails need to be maintained better. There was a lot of debris on the trail and there are still parts buried under silt from the last flood.

Nice at night. Cool breeze and great stargazing.

When the weather is good it's a beautiful way to spend a wonderful morning, afternoon or evening. The walk follows the Missouri River for several miles, past historical markers for, among other things, the Lewis and Clark river crossing, the Pony Express and a wildlife refuge. Depending on where you start it either begins or ends at the Casino.

Ok, so I parked and was waiting on my kids to show up for a picnic. This is not that kind of park. A man pulled up next to me and dropped his pants... i will stop there. This IS NOT a family park.
