Great overlook on a bluff with the Missouri River below you as you look west into Kansas from Missouri. The river separates the 2 states here. Nice area with a shelter and picnic tables. No playground equipment and sloping terrain at this park. To stand there thinking of what the first settlers must have thought as they looked from this point where you can see nearly 5 miles into Kansas.

The view is awesome, could use more cleaning

One of the best scenic overlook places in St. Joseph. Fantastic view of the river, facing Kansas. A terrific picnic facility and children's play area. Grassy, open areas, great for kite-flying, Frisbee and such. There are a few trails for hiking and a lovely variety of natural plants. Sunsets from this vantage point are a must.
