Father Padilla Park

Father Padilla park is very kid friendly. There is a mix of old an newer play equipment, several picnic tables located near the play structure for convenience. Its clean and neat. It also has a real cold water spring running through it. The city swimming pool is adjacent to the park making for a fun afternoon with the kids. Father Padilla pond is located north of the swimming pool and a ball field is south of the park making this whole area a family oriented center of Herington.

Assorted equipment for children to play on but not many other features worth noting. Has a decent sized limestone gazebo but the city never has tried to book any gigs or do anything with it so it's kind of a waste. Minimal upkeep but the grass is typically kept at a decent length. Does have a disc golf course that wraps around the pond on the other side of the pool that's pretty enjoyable.

This park has a nice playground and picnic areas.

City should make improvements to the disc golf course. It has a great potential.

Broken equipment thats been reported multiple time, my son enjoyed playing an the weather was nice. Just wish the maintenance was kept up.
