Schermerhorn Park

A great little park with a surprising amount to do. Schermerhorn Park is located along Shoal Creek, and boy was it fun. There are a couple nature trails (one leads to a beautiful little cave)! A Nature center, swimming at the creek and lots of picnic areas with grills. We walked to the caves, swam and grilled up some brats. It was a great day, best of all totally free!

We visited here in early August. We enjoyed the short trails. The prairie trail had a wonderful array of butterflies. Many people were wading in the creek. Like most small community parks, it needs some TLC, but it has a lot of natural beauty.

Good place to go for quite time. Less it's the weekend. Then water fun. This park let's you step back in time. With the cave, and older play equipment.

Been enjoying this beautiful park, creek, and nature trails since before I can remember! As beautiful as it was day one!
