Drayton Campground

Compared to the campground in Grafton, the place needs renovation. The best part about it is it being right next to ACS. The 30 second commute to work is nice.

This has got to be one of the worst campgrounds I've ever been in. Of course, I was there for the sugar beet Harvest and not there during the summer. I'll give it that maybe it's nicer in the summer? It's basically just a grass field with some trees and hookups coming out of the ground. Again, this was off-season but it was grungy. The bathrooms were in a metal shed and it was hard to get to the door because there were people plugged in and camped right outside the bathroom door. Not in a designated camp spot. Obviously, at this time of year there's no camp host. I was impressed that they have water on at the sites in November. Bathrooms were extremely dirty and smelled of cigarettes despite the big sign saying no smoking on the door. The showers had push-buttonoperation which came out cold, got lukewarm and then right before it went off it would turn hot. If you let it run off, it would start out cold all over again. I had just come from a campground about 85 miles south which was much nicer so this was kind of a shock. I will avoid this Campground in the future at all costs.

For bfe North Dakota it's pretty cool. Some actual trees and beautiful views of the sunset.

Great campground nice bathrooms sites are gravel mostly level. Sewer and water hookups are a little far back so an extra water hose and black hose could be needed depending upon the site. Great shower and bath house. Close to interstate and a gas station. If looking for a place to eat Hastings Landing is close by.
