Quite possibly the crown jewel of Atchison Kansas. The staff is super nice and the store is usually very well stocked and clean. Not open 24 hours anymore though which I miss.
This is an interesting setup for a WalMart. Only one actual cashier. They heavily rely on scan and go type check outs. The belts scanners were shut down during this vist and the other scanners were limited to a few due to maintenance and cleaning.
Employee told us we were pushing our cart too fast. She wasn't wearing a mask.
The employee that assisted me was very friendly & willing to help. I asked where I could find an item & after telling me, I thanked him & went to walk to that department. He told me that he'd take me there to help find what I was looking for. Wish I would've paid attention to his name tag. I'm so thankful for people like him.
It's not as clean as it could be. The staff don't seem to want to be bothered with customers. A lot of the grocery section is bare shelves,and freezer sections. I go to South Belt now. And for food Price Choppers.
