Camp sites are on a ridge so you get out of your camper and it's hard not to fall down hill. Bathrooms are nice but along ways away. Ok campground but the water hook up are to far away. Electrical hook ups are a bit aways also. So bring extra hose (75 ft) and (25ft) of cord. Also, when making reservations the spots we wanted were taken but no one showed up to camp there. The hiking trails are nice. Overall it was a good time. Made the best of it.

I can only speak about the camping area in this park, as we did not explore the lake or the trails. That being said, we really enjoyed our stay at campsites 30 and 31.nnThese were large and mostly away from the other campsites, so relatively quiet. One of them also had a trail leading down to the lake and a large open area, so that was nice.nnOur dogs loved being able to jump in the lake, I saw a great sunrise over the lake, and it was a convenient stop on our way through North Dakota.

Great place to stay if you have kids who would enjoy playing in a playground area all day. Campsites encircle a large playground/rec area, so your kids can play all day while you relax at your campsite. Campsites are very close to each other, with no privacy at all, but the sites on the north end have a clear view of the playground/rec area which is great if you have kids. Beach is small but okay. We didn't swim when we visited due to cold/windy temperatures. Hiking trails are okay. Avoid the nature trail... LOTS of ticks! One additional bonus... sites have water hookups, but be sure to bring 75' of water hose along with a 'Y' connection because you'll need to share the hydrant with the neighboring campsite. Looks like a fairly popular place to ride bikes on the trails.

It was a decent campground. I was in the tent only sites which are typically quiet, but they are next to the cabins here. Loud music was playing during most of my stay and the group Friday night didn't quiet down until 2 AM. Otherwise the place is pretty nice. I liked the seating on the docks for sure.

The three walk in tent sites are very spacious, and have trees in between for privacy. Great campground for the kiddos, playground is pretty basic, but there is a huge field nearby to play in. I'm assuming they spray for ticks and mosquitoes, because I didn't see any the entire weekend.
