Fun park with a couple of options to play on. We didn't get any pictures this time though! It had 3 sets of playground equipment for varying ages: a big rope web and ladder-like slides (for bigger kiddos-- 5+) and then they had more traditional playground equipment for younger kiddos (2-5). With the nearby construction, parking was a little more challenging than expected but we enjoyed the walk!

Right across the street from Olmsted Elementary School and caddy corner to Urbandale High School, and only a few blocks away from Urbandale Middle School is Lyons Park. Besides its perfect location, it is a very spacious park with a baseball field, tennis courts, basketball courts, and a restroom on site. There's also a gazebo and some grills so a nice place to hang out no matter what the occasion.

Cute park. My granddaughter loves it

Good residential park that offers many playground options for kids. In addition, it has (had) basketball courts, a baseball field, and a wading pool. We have been in the shelter house many times for events, and the gazebo offers a nice area when they play music in the park (like Jazz in July).nOf course, one of the best things about the park is when it is transformed into a carnival for the Fourth of July festivities. It becomes a completely different area and is alot of fun, especially when you're within walking distance of it.
