Tried this dog park a couple times and it was not a good experience for my dog. The park is small and the dogs already in the park tend to mob a new dog entering the park. Other dog owners were often too busy socializing to properly monitor their dogs. I saw several aggressive dogs. It also seems to turn into more dirt and mud than grass. Ewing dog park is now our favorite. It has 7 acres for big dogs to run. Being a Des Moines dog park you have to have a permit but it’s only $20 for the entire year. The dog owners I have seen at this park are very responsible and are always monitoring their dogs.
Very Good spaces! Well equipped potty bags. Very enjoyable time with other dogs to run & explore.
Nice little dog park with lots or shade. Potential to be a little muddy. No water so bring your own. Nice otherwise.
Nice large space to run around. Most people we meet here are nice and pay attention to their dogs. Have had to leave occasionally due to basically unattended dogs but overall it's typically a good time.
My dog always has fun here! The only thing I would say is when I went there last week, the fence entrance to the small dog area was broken. We ended up just setting it on its side and it was fine, but it would be nice if it could be fixed soon. Other than that, good place to let my dog get all the energy out!
