Went in pretty nervous because I'd had less than satisfactory experiences at 2 other salons recently. Jacob was so patient and listened to me explain what I wanted. He cut my hair EXACTLY the way I wanted! I'm 60+ years old and have been to dozens of stylists in my moves around the country and this is the most satisfied I've ever been. Thank you, Trixie's and Jacob!!

I have been a client of Trixie’s since 2014, but today was my first time in their new space on University (Uptown location.) They’re absolutely wonderful and go out of their way to be accommodating, welcoming and inclusive. I have a physical disability so here is info for fellow mobility aid users: There are no autonomic door openers to get in (the outside doors are a little heavy, too, just FYI) but there is NO lip or step up or curb into the space. Inside, the entire salon is open and accessible- extremely easy to navigate without moving furniture or running into decor. Also, the bathroom is 100% accessible- it’s large enough to go in and turn around in a wheelchair and there are railings to hold onto/lower down to the toilet seat. The hair washing station is close to the styling chairs without a long distance to walk.

I love Jake! I have not had anyone else touch my hair since I was introduced to him! He is very friendly and easy to talk to. (Don't mind my face bc I have no make up onud83dude06)

So... the haircut wasn’t bad. But, for a $52 /service, I expected at least a shampoo and a little bit of style, as promised in their website. After I was greeted, I told her what I wanted and the stylist started cutting my hair (dry). I didn’t want to say anything. She Didn’t ask me for my preference on shampoo or not. I thought may be she wants to wash it after the cut but nope. I was directed towards checkout. I paid and tipped and got out. I honestly expected more for the price. Disappointed. Didn’t get the service they promised in their website. They even promise scalp massage with a haircut on their website. I wanted to make this my go to Salon but I will have to find a new one. I wish they wouldn’t promise complementary services with a Hair cut if they do not plan on providing those. That’s false advertising. And if they were not providing those for some reason, I wish they would explain it to me.

I see Blaire for my hair and she is absolutely lovely. I have curly hair and have had some bad haircuts but she knows exactly how to treat curly hair. Would definitely recommend.
