Cottonwood Recreation #8

This is a nice little Recreation Area with a shelter a playground and men's and women's bathrooms with a drinking fountain. It is right off the Neal Smith riding and walking trail and was in good repair when we were there. There are a couple of picnic tables and a couple of shade trees if you are not able to use the shelter itself. The playground equipment was new and clean. And the bathrooms were new and reasonably well maintained. They were pretty much what you would expect from a public park bathroom. The drinking fountain was functional and the water taste it okay which was a major bonus.

It's a beautiful place to enjoy the nature.

I took my friend fishing here after he got off work. We sat along the Rivers edge and fished. Got quite a few bites, but let's just say my bait was lacking in quantity. Skinny crawlers and big hooks don't mix. But the day was beautiful and so the time was well spent

Shelter was in a nice clean area and well maintained. Only bad thing was restrooms were not easy access from our shelter, especially if needed immediate access!! Needed to build a restroom by shelter!
