Amazing facility. Extremely clean and run by absolute professionals who care about the fitness of their clients. Every piece of equipment anyone could ask for. The building has a well lighted, secure parking area and in an upscale area of downtown. Close to everything. By far the nicest Anytime Fitness I've been to and one of the best gyms I've ever seen period.

I highly recommend this gym. I was greeted by Mallory, who was very professional and knowledgeable with all the amenities the gym has to offer. I was visiting for a few weeks due to work and she was very understanding and helped me out with getting access to the gym. I also noticed that the trainers were very attentive to all patrons and their needs as well as the cleanliness of the gym and equipment. This Anytime Fitness definitely earned five stars. Thanks again Mallory.

I've been going to this anytime location for six weeks and after going to countless other gyms across the Iowa Metro I can say with absolute certainty that this is the nicest gym in Des Moines. All the trainers and all the staff are super professional and more importantly, incredibly knowledgeable. The personal trainer that I've been working with, Roy, has been exceptional. He's very professional, very encouraging and will make you work as hard as you possibly can. I cannot recommend Roy and the downtown Anytime Fitness enough.

I had to be in Des Moines for two weeks for business and the staff here worked a fantastic deal out with me so that I could utilize this gym for the two weeks that I was in Des Moines.nnThe facility is clean and makes excellent use of the small space that the gym inhabits. This gym does not have a traditional locker room, but rather has communal cubby spaces by the entrance where you can place your belongings. Continuing on with the no locker room, there is a hallway with unisex bathrooms that also have showers in them as well. Because of the limited square footage of the gym, you will not find a lot of the specialty machines or equipment that a physically larger gym will have. I found this was not too much of an issue though, as with a little bit of creativity, you can still get an effective workout in.nnMy only critique would be, there should be at least one more 45 pound bar purchased, because when all but one rack is populated, you are left with one rack that doesn't have a 45 pound bar to go along with it. Just a minor nuisance and nothing major, because waiting for a 45 pound bar to free up is an option as well.
