The classes are fun. Always easier when you have a group to keep you motivated
I'm getting my physical therapy with Joe! He got me into the pool when my own husband couldn't. I'm impressed! He has helped me, my husband, and my Dad. Keeping it in the family! Soon I'll be ready for the recumbent bike again and can get back to training for my 5k walkathon!
I’ve been a member of the South Suburban Y for years. The director, Tyler, really cares about creating a comfortable atmosphere for people of all fitness levels. Hollie and the front desk crew are always welcoming me by name. I like that it isn't usually crowded. I’m not much for fitness classes but I have always enjoyed the spin classes here. I like that it is a smaller spin room so not so overwhelming. I strongly recommend joining this branch. You can visit all the branches but this is a good one to call home.
Was here when a staff member harassed a delivery man for leaving an item at the front counter, she kicked him off property and turns out she even called the police on the delivery man. I won't be returning to this Y ever, I'm appalled at the staff members behavior, it was near psychotic.
Really like the renovations they've recently done. Plenty of exercise equipment to choose from and seems to be more maintained lately. Hope they keep up the good work as I really like working out here compared to other places I've been.
