Staff here is awesome! Abe helped us out with a specific problem recently and I must say... Amazing rapport and overall awesome customer service and interaction. Gym might be old but the equipment is definitely there if you’re ready to hit the gym. I can see why some people would say other things but it’s temporary and the staff goes out of their way on all occasions with my wife and I to accommodate and help out! 5 stars!
Staff is great (none of this is they're fault) , but this is supposed to be a temporary location (wish Genesis would have stayed in the prior building) till the new location was ready . This building is very outdated and the carpet floors look dirty (weight room and bathrooms especially).The weighted plates and most equipment is in bad shape they should've got rid of most of the ymca's weight machines , also members were told it might take over a year for the new building. I hope Genesis can make this building alot better (major makeover) meantime especially the main weight room.Alot of the serious members have left or switched gyms. Most members were shocked to see this downgrade in quality. The old building wasn't great either but this place makes it look way better. I hope Genesis makes right with the Southside of DSM way before 1-2 yrs.
