Zanzibar’s is a great community coffeeshop. It stocks excellent product and pays its employees a living wage. It is a great, local place to have a post-Covid conversation with friends/family. If you are trying to post up and get work done, I would recommend trying a different place. The size of the shop and intentional lack of Internet, would make me feel guilty taking up one of their tables.
Coffee makes a miserable life manageable. We all need some sort of addiction to get by, and boy-yoi-oi, does Zanzibar's provide. They sell coffee beans and grounds, coffee items, coffee/other beverages to drink, food items, and art work from a local artist of the month. The food is the only thing I wasn't super around by. It's fine, but a tad pricey for fine. The coffee, oh the coffee ☕! Spring delights are ever eternal within me. They have earthy, fruity, even funky flavors to appease all. And just a plain black cuppa is a great price to warm the belly, and perhaps even the photo of someone's soul I keep in my ether?nnSUPPORT LOCAL, chumps.

Best coffee in town! Great atmosphere, friendly employees, really yummy food. The ever-changing local art on the walls is always fun to look at. An old Des Moines gem.
