Another beautiful beautiful Bridge , I saw the movie 25 years ago finally got to see it in person today.

A beautiful bridge out in the middle of the country. A short drive of a couple miles on an old Iowa gravel road brings you out to the scenic site of this bridge. You can no longer drive across it but there are parking lots on both sides of the bridge for ready access.

Very similar to the Rosemon Bridge, but you can definitely see the architectural differences. Another beautiful example of the covered bridges of the late 1800's. This one is closer to Winterset, but doesn't have the same wow factor as the Rosemon Bridge does because of the movie.

One of the 6 Bridges of Madison County. Yes they are real folks and you can read the history behind each bridge when you get there from the plaques they have put into place at each bridge. Enjoy the day trip.
