Beautiful and interesting former state park. Now maintained by the county. Only auto tunnel in Iowa
If you are not very interested in history, this place is just ok to walk around.

Awesome piece of history, and beautiful scenery.
A neat place! However this is just one of many cool things in the area. Very close to it, plan on doing the river ford in your car (looks scary at first, totally safe). Good campgrounds, trails, and wildlife near it as well.
