One of the last remaining covered bridges in Iowa, the Hogback was built in 1884. Most of the original timber frame is intact. The bridge underwent an extensive restoration in the early 1990's. This iconic landmark is a fun place to take visitors from out of state.

I've always wanted to see the bridges of Madison County! They do not disappoint! They all look pretty much the same but the scenery they're in is worth each visit.
