Recently I stopped into J. Jill with mom, who shops regularly at a different J. Jill location. My mom indicated to the sales staff that she needed something specific. They completely ignored her. As other customers came in, the employees began to diligently help them. We thought this was odd. We didn’t understand what could be the cause until the same saleswomen we originally asked for assistance from came into the dressing room and asked condescendingly if we needed a different size... a bigger size and perhaps a new shape even though she had never seen what silhouette or sizes we had brought into the changing room. I have never felt so fat shamed in my life. (Note: We fit comfortably in J. Jill attire.) If you’re someone who’s not a size 2, don’t shop at this store. You won’t receive a positive customer experience.

J Jill sells quality womenswear, with styles that flatter all body shapes in a variety of colors and designs. I love this brand and I’m so happy to have a local store to try things on. If the store doesn’t have what you want, the staff will assist you by ordering over the internet with free shipping to your home. Returns are always easy; I have returned items that I received at home many times without difficulty.nnI have always had good service at this store, even when it’s busy. What I most appreciate is the honest opinions the staff give me; no one lets me leave with something that’s unflattering. Since I often shop alone, the advice I get is invaluable. There’s never pressure and the sales are wonderful. I highly recommend this brand and this store.

I stopped by today with my daughters. I was wearing a JJill dress and sweater and planned to use my birthday discount. The employees were rude, condescending and insulting.nnShe basically said nothing there would fit me. I went to Von Maur next door. You people work on commission right. Big mistake Huge!nnShop on line or any other store. DON’T SHOP HERE!
