Not only is Mark incredibly knowledgeable, but he is truly an excellent communicator and highly personable. A rare combination. I do not live in Iowa City and so when we needed legal help, I searched for reviews and recommendations. I read great reviews and found them to be 100% accurate. I would also add that Mark has a very good working relationship with other attorneys and judges which I think also simplified our case. He definitely had the best interest of his client in mind and was very quick and very direct, which I respect. We had the best possible outcome, but it could very easily have gone a different direction without Mark's guidance and expertise.

Mark is an outstanding attorney and knows his law. He is a great communicator, always kept us up to date, answered our many questions and is thorough in his practice. We know that he went the extra mile for us to get us the best outcome possible. Mark is, hands down, the only attorney you should hire. He is extremely courteous, intelligent, sympathetic, and takes every step to ensure you are being fully represented. Being an out-of-state resident, selecting the best representation was crucial in getting my case DISMISSED. Hiring Mark made it happen. I needed to retain Mark for an unfortunate circumstance regarding a family member. Mark went above and beyond in helping us with all our legal matters.nnFrom a legal standpoint everything was explained clearly to us, and everything turned out as Mr.. Thompson said it would. Actually BETTER than what was expected. Mark clearly told us some of what he would shoot for was a longshot - but he came through for the family.nnMark's legal skills are impeccable, but the thing that impressed me most was his genuine caring for the young individual involved.
