I had a sequins bridesmaids dress with 3 layers that I needed hemmed. I procrastinated on getting it done and I brought it in on a Thursday and told them I needed it done by Wednesday of the next week. I was concerned that they would reject it due to the short amount of time, but Sally accepted it without blinking twice! It was done on time, the hem was perfect, and it was $45 in all. It seems other reviewers think that's a steep price, but it seemed appropriate to me considering the fantastic job done. Nice large dressing area, too. Very satisfied!

Clothworks just SAVED the day. I am a Wedding Planner and a groomsmen showed up for photos with a huge rip in his pants. Perfect alterations right here in Iowa City. The price point is a bit high for simple fixes (like a hem), but Sally is irreplaceable for trickier or more important wardrobe pieces. I appreciate that she texts with me to set up times for drop off or pick up—much easier than chasing phone calls.

I had my wedding dress altered at Clothworks, and I couldn't recommend Sally enough. Her eye for detail was unmatched and I felt totally comfortable talking through possible alterations with her. My dress was completed in plenty of time and the pricing was reasonable. I got married in another state and many of my vendors weren't based out of Iowa City, but I'm so glad I had my dress tailored at Clothworks. It made my wedding preparations so much easier.
