Delicious food and average hot drinks. Always good and attentive service. A variety of Hawkeye and Java House gift items for sale. I ordered the turkey, avocado and bacon sandwich from Heirloom Salad. Yum! Java House was established in 1995. My first year of college at the U of I. My ❤ will always be with them!
I come here about 3 to 4 times a week. The cold coffee and frappes are amazing. The grilled cheese was good but expensive in my opinion. The staff are friendly. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because if you show up after 550 you're not getting served. I think if a place of business is open until 6 they should serve anyone who got in line before 6. I would think any business owner would want their customers served if they're waiting in line, even if that means they stay open 15 minutes later.
I was so glad that a place was open so I could work given the weather fiasco. The coffee was great however my experience was not as pleasant. The individuals working were quite loud as if it was social hour at a party. It was very distracting. I was actually going to order a salad to go however given my experience I decided to not. Having fun is of course great while working but this was beyond any experience I have had at a coffee shop. I actually left before they closed.

Love this place. Better than Starbucks by far. If I could go everyday I would. They also have food which is really good and the staff is very friendly and helpful.
