Worth a separate trip to come here and see it. One one end it comes out at a bar and grill. You can take your food and drinks on or across bridge to enjoy. A real piece midwestern America.
Good food. Did take a bit yo get our food,but was worth the wait. Like small town atmosphere.
You simply have to love a piece of Iowa History. And it is great for a breakaway from city life. Serving staff at the restaurant is friendly, and always at hand, without being intrusive. I ordered the hand breaded porkloin ... which was freshly prepared, promptly served - and delicious!
Love taking kids here and they love skipping rocks in the river
I haven't been here for years! Glad to see it's been restored after being swept into the river after the '08 flood! It was a good day of fresh air during COVID and after the derecho!
