I actually have been working at the Phoenix Hall and spa and really enjoy it. Mr. Noyes is extremely nice and a pleasure to work for. As a person who recently started meditating I am very grateful for the opportunity and have nothing but good things to say about the Phoenix Rising Hall.

It seems like a decent enough venue if you’re looking to plan an event (certainly nicer than most community centers in rural Iowa). However, I find promoting false information about vaccines and public health issues in general completely abhorrent, particularly in the midst of a global pandemic. (See my photo if you’re not sure what I’m talking about. It was taken from the business’s FB page.)nnYou might be thinking “what does this have to do with a venue”? Well if a venue is going to actively work on the behalf of a group that is attempting to cause harm to the public health, I believe that should factor in to whether you want to support that venue with your business.nnI hope if anyone connected to this venue who sees this review and disagrees will think about doing some real research into the topic, and get multiple viewpoints before just buying into whatever bulls**t their non-peer-reviewed sources are telling them. Or, if that sounds like too great a task to take on at this point, just try searching online: “correlation vs. causation.”nnAlso, if you just disagree with me in general (regardless of if you’re connected with the venue), maybe pause before your knee-jerk reaction that I’m insane or part of //The Establishment// and try thinking about the health and well-being of those around you. Maybe the lives of those in your community are worth a little more thought and research on vaccines, before you dismiss out of hand a medical technology that has saved millions of lives.

Weekly Indian home-cooked meals (donating to great causes,) conscious uplifting films, and an amazing pulpit with stained glass. A wonderful place for a wedding!

This is a very nice performance venue, converted from an old church. The new owner did a good job refurbishing it. The sound system is really excellent. It may still be used for worship services; I'm not sure. But it can be rented to put on concerts or other public events.

The owner / developer seems to be doing an excellent job of upgrading this beautiful old building to make it compayible with the 21st century while maintaining its 100 year old traditional design integrity
