Nice FBO with a TV, restrooms and couches. Parking is a bit difficult given the tie downs are far back in the grass, marked by tires. Would need two people or more to push any 182 sized or greater airplane back.
Good little airport with great access to Okoboji, no glide slope PAPI or VASI guidance fyi. Also be careful on a hot summer day....make sure your plane can do it. My Mooney (they're poorer short field planes in high DA) - it visually looked intimidating on takeoff when it was 95 out and near full gross weight but we only really used close to 2000 ft of about 2900 ft runway. Runway slopes uphill to the south for most of it, except a small steep descending section on the very north part of the runway (slopes down to south).nRunway is fairly narrow (50 ft) but good asphalt. Tall trees on either side of the runway but the ends are pretty clear. Overall I love flying into here, little more adventurous than most Midwest airports, you can walk to Okoboji Store and really everything else in Okoboji... They can get you gas if you call the airport manager cell phone, but it's not a public pump (locked). Use all runway and do a short field takeoff! Watch the high DA in summer.
