Lindenwood is a great attraction to Fargo. Nestled in the heart of the city it has beauty for everyone. You'll first notice the flowers hand planted and nurtured for maximum color and vibrancy every year. There's basketball courts, little league baseball diamonds, a huge children's playground with parent friendly open views. Camping by the river and lovely trails for walking or maybe rent a bicycle for six. Plenty of picnic areas and built In barbeques. The camping area is quiet and fishing quite relaxed. It's even built to take a leisurely car ride with scenes of nature and people. Last time I biked the trail I saw three deer who were super friendly. Nice park to get away.
Love everything about Lindenwood. Very large and a variety of walking paths/trails and outdoors adventurous things available to do or see. Decent place to be and roam about. Not very many negative things to say or be seen. Wild life live about and you come across beautiful animals throughout the park and the water is pretty to be on, or sit by. Water and land activities. Adults and kids will enjoy this recreational place of wonder and life. Dont miss out on a nice sight and attraction in Fargo and Moorhead!
We stayed at this park on a Sunday evening while passing through. It is a beautiful park with so much to do as far as walking, hiking, fishing, play ground for the kids, volleyball picnic areas or just sitting by the river. Our only issue we encountered was where they put us. We were right by the freeway and to say the least it was very very very noisy. We have a 42 foot 5th wheel and they had us in the upper portion of the campground or section A. We were on a culdasac and the gal told us my husband would probably have to back all the way to our sight. Easily done but a pain if you have 3 others checking in at the same time and them allowing people to check out late. The sights are very close together and was tight to leave your truck with your trailer. But we were just again passing through so we went out and done our big grocery shopping so we weren't there but long enough to unhook, come back from shopping, eat a meal, and go to bed. We would stay there again if we could get a different spot as it is very pretty. But not on the upper camp ground. The lower camp ground there were a lot of people in other reviews that stated that they sights were not level and went towards the river. We seen a few but not many... Overall it is a nice place and we would stay again with a different sight. We camped at Lindenwood Park in a Fifth Wheel.
Lots of beautiful mature trees, picnic tables, charcoal grills, 2 large playgrounds, 4 large shelters, bike rentals, kayak launch, camping... lindenwood has it all. Perfect for a leisurely stroll to admire the bright yellow and red changing leaves.
Lindenwood has an awesome spot by the river. Plenty of space for everyone. Too bad they don't let anyone pitch a tent any more. Not everyone who likes to camp can afford a camper. Other than that it's awesomeud83dude01
