My all time favorite camping spot.

A lovely little campsite right next to the lake. Clean bathrooms, clean sites, all around it was a well-kept campsite. Affordable tent sites are always nice for a bicycle tours such as myself. I am a fan of Okoboji Lakes just north of storm Lake and I get the same kind of vibe from this town. Quaint, cute little lake resort town in northern Iowa. Beautiful place to camp.

This place was great, however I had a problem right out of the gate with them I came in on a Tuesday and the office was closed ,so I set my camper up and paid to camp the next day ,they came to me and apologized, and told me the spot I was in was reserved and I needed to move ,so I went to the office and got a list of available sites and choose one moved to that spot , but that was really the only issue I had the camp ground was clean the showers and bathrooms were modern, and kept clean ,they came around on a quad and asked if you would like to buy some firewood or ice ,it was a great park spots are tight though as the campground gets packed on the weekends, but they had full hook ups water, sewer, and electric for 22 dollars a night I'm not arguing stores are close by ,fishing on the lake was bad but one kinda expects that this time of year it's hot out,oh yeah they have on site laundry available also ....I stayed here in a travel trailer, there are also tent sites available some electric and non electric ....

I think this would be great place to camp if they had people who were at the gate a little more often because at night you might have a problem getting back if they don't give the code to the gate. (1900) Also there needs to be more people working in the campgrounds because the glass needed mowed and the ground needed to be clean up better.
