Good place to stay, but they will stick you with 700 dollars on charges and give you attitude when you want an explanation. Kim was very disrespectful.
Storm Lake Iowa has an amazing and affordable waterpark connected to King's Pointe Resort however, do not expect a kid-friendly atmosphere out of Sunrise Campground. We were following our 5 year old around the campsite roads and were stopped by management and told we could not have her battery operated Jeep on camp grounds because there are big trucks that drive fast through the campground and don't follow the 5 mph speed limit. So kids on bikes with training wheels are safe in their mind but not driving battery operated vehicles with parental guidance. Barking dogs are very welcome here. Also the sites are right on top of each other so don't expect much room if the campground is full.
7/2020 three day stay. They need better dog policy and enforce it. Large breed dogs were outside 24 hours and barking loudly.nnWe complained but nothing was done. Also you need to know this town has a Gang problem. Don't go down to The lake after dark. We were accosted while we tried to fish. A group of young men ran us off. We left very scared.
During the week its pretty quiet. Gets a little congested on the weekends, and holidays are standing room only. All in all nice area.
Nice and quiet. And very clean.
