Best place to get fried chicken in Waterloo. No place to sit and eat -- you probably wouldn't want to. Very crowded gas station, but chicken is worth it!

Oh man, oh man, oh man! Gizzards so good it might be illegal!nnWhile in Iowa, I had a hankering for some chicken the other day. My cousin recommended Chester's. She said that some people were not interested because it's a gas station and convenience store but promised that Chester's chicken was legit.nnI ordered a 3-piece dark (spicy) and a 6oz. Bag of spicy gizzards.nnThe chicken was really good, the skin had a nice light crunch and the flavors popped. I could have done without the roll, which was kinda dry, but the french fries were ok.nnBut those GIZZARDS! Oh man, oh man, oh man! This stuff is so good it might be illegal! The spices were perfectly hot but not overpowering and there was even a crunch little crust on them!nnIf I lived in Iowa, these gizzards would be my go-to snack! Good job, Chester's!

Not a restaurant. Its gas station, fried, heart attack waiting to happen food.
