Lake Iowa Park (Iowa County Conservation)

Pretty lake and scenery, fairly large beach. Walking trail around the lake is a mowed path of ground. Nice that it's quiet/off the beaten path. Beach restroom was not clean. Lake is not very clear water, for those to whom it might matter, such as for swimming in. Didn't camp, but tent sites looked very uneven-ground-space and close together. RV sites looked typically-close-together. Overall, a rural, pretty park.

We had an awesome camping experience. We had space between us and the next campsite and power was close. The shower house was fairly clean and close, there was a pond right down the hill, and the park was well kept. The loss of one star is due to the hookups. My neighbor had to run their extension cord through the center of my campsite to get power, there was a water hookup but it was two campsites down and the other hookup was a community hookup in the middle of nowhere. We had a fabulous experience.

Many miles of well maintained mountain bike/walking trails. Nice campground with good views of lake. Good lake for kayaking. Well maintained clean shower houses. Also like the fact that it is first come first serve.

We love Lake Iowa, low key and relaxing. Campgrounds are well kept. They have a wonderful panfish pond that the kids love to fish, it's easier to get to than the lake.
