Perfect little piece of land - from spots where the fish never stop biting, to winding trails that lead deep into the forest, to open spaces close enough to a pavilion to have a BBQ yet also far enough away from light pollution to lay on a blanket and watch a meteor shower... this is one of my favorite little pieces of the world. COVID has obviously made it more difficult to properly enjoy some of these things but hopefully when you read this that word will be a distant memory.
A place I've gone to my whole life, had my wedding there on August 8th, 2020. Perfect place for looking at the beautiful night sky and viewing metro showers!
Well maintained outdoor recreation area. Beautiful.
The Army Corps does an incredible job of maintaining this park. I'm there with my dog every weekend. Miles of trails and easy access to the water.
Love going to Thompson Dam. It's a very popular place. Many different things to do: boating, fishing, disc golf, camping, walking, biking, even shelters to reserve for birthdays, family reunions, etc.
