I would give this a 5 star review, as I love the location and the wines are good. We've been to the restaurant in years past, and it was a very nice dining experience. The tasting was enjoyable, even with covid restrictions in place. The fall day was gorgeous, and the golden leaves were spectacular. Even the restroom was picture perfect! However, when we were leaving, a woman who I assume was the owner or a manager, insisted on pushing her political views on us. We tried not to engage her, but she was persistent. I finally told her that we didn't agree with her views and we left. It put an odd damper on an otherwise great winery experience. We'll still return, but they might take into consideration that their customers don't go there to have unwelcome political viewpoints imposed upon them.

Everything about Sharpe Hill Vineyard is top scale from the great selection of wines , the winery and gift shop, the food they serve is always delicious with a very charming dining room. great service and the grounds to sit outside while tasting the various wines adds warmth and charm withna romantic touch. I look forward to many returns and share this charming place with my family and friends. Palm Springs, Ca.

Came to Sharpe Hill back in 2016 as it was the halfway point between our two homes at the time. LOVED it; but very little brings us to Pomfret these days so we would just buy bottles for the past few years. Still lovely... Came back in 2020 (so pandemic times...) and could not have been greeted more rudely or with more disrespect. The website indicated the restaurant was closed so I thought we would bring some snacks as it's usually not best to drink with no food option at all. As we walked up to the door, an older woman was belligerent and began yelling that we'd better turn around and bring our food back to the car (again, these were a couple of wrapped snacks in a reusable grocery bag - she had no indication we even had food in the bag at this juncture). We were barely at the door, so I was very taken aback. From there, I said I was sorry and that I thought I'd read online the restaurant was closed so bringing our own food felt like a good idea. She continued with her raised voice, indicated the best they could offer was a small cheese plate, and again, I'd better bring the bag back to my car. Simultaneously, she was screaming to another woman that she needed to come inside as people needed her help. I later called and learned the older woman shouting the entire time was the owner and was further taken aback. So disappointing as I'd have loved to share this feedback, but obviously cannot if this is the culture the owner is going for. I want to come back, I want to relive those 2016 memories my partner and I loved so much now that we live closer to this area full time; but I just can't. Big yikes, so sad, wish I could continue to recommend Sharpe Hill, but don't know that I ever will again.

Beautiful New England location. A perfect place to spend a summer afternoon and try some delicious wines. Staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. I love the monkey lamps.

We have been to many area wineries. Sharpe Hill is our favorite. The wine is amazing and the staff are wonderful. The outside patio area is inviting and very relaxing.
