We have brought our dog to Baywood Kennels to be boarded a few times now. He loves it every time and the staff/owner are very professional. It makes having to leave our good boy much easier knowing he will he in good hands and gets to play outside with the other dogs. We have also had him groomed at Baywood. Our dog has sensitive skin and the owner made sure to use hypoallergenic shampoo with oatmeal to be sure he wouldn’t have a bad reaction. I would definitely recommend Baywood if you’re looking for a reliable and safe place for your pet to be boarded or groomed.

We moved from RI to CT a year and a half ago. The first week we were here, we needed to board our Miniature Schnauzer because we were going on a business trip to NY. I researched kennels in the area and came across Baywood. The reviews were positive, so I decided to give them a try. We placed our dog with them for 3 days and were very satisfied with the service! They have a very caring staff. And then we found out that they have a dog grooming service too. We brought her to be groomed and were very pleased with their work as well as the price! I highly recommend Baywood Kennels for boarding and grooming. Brendon is awesome and you feel confident that you’re leaving your fur baby in good hands!

Very disappointed. I was bringing my amstaff to a wonderful daycare in West Hartford but I got a new job so I needed to look for a new daycare for my boy. I’ve heard nothing but great things about baywood. Unfortunately that was not my experience. I was told my pup would be in a kennel the whole time and only taken out for 20 minutes with one kennel worker and no other dogs... simply because of his breed. They hadn’t even met him yet and it didn’t matter if they did. I was told it was “policy”. He is the sweetest and most loving boy. His last doggy daycare would be so upset when I didn’t bring him in because he is THAT sweet. He is beyond socialized and has been since he was 6 weeks old. Between the dog park, daycare and puppy play dates my boy has NEVER EVER shown the SLIGHTEST bit of aggression. He’s even been attacked 2 times and didn’t even try to retaliate. How can you work with dogs and be prejudice against a certain breed? Shame on you.
