We love PlanetFitness. We had to put our gym membership on hold. The staff person was very pleasant, and did not give us any problem.

Not able to cancel a membership on phone despite never having signed a contract or committed to once cardio express was taken over. As a physician who studied infectious disease I can say they can not clean or filter the air for covid with proven results. Anyone who does get sick from there may be able to bring a law suit against them. The whole model of Planet fitness is a scheme that makes it difficult to cancel their memberships. I suggest anyone who dose sign up use American Express as you can easily merchant block them.

I called to talk about canceling my membership due to the new mask mandate starting on August 1st. I spoke with Allison over the phone who told me I would be fine to work out in a mask as other people were doing it and were fine. I told her she had no right to speak on my health or what would be “fine” for me to do and speaking on someone’s disability was headed into territory she didn’t want to go to. She said she will check to see if I owed any fees which I informed her I would not be paying as they broke the contract with adding new mandates and not having people sign new contracts. I know the employees didn’t make the new policies it was what she said and how she handled it. I will be canceling, I ordered equipment for my house and will be a certified personal trainer myself and will be training soon enough, no mask required :)

My insurance plan pays for my gym membership, but out of nowhere, I got a charge to my checking account for the month of October. I've called five times, each time I was told I would get a credit, but they never did give it to me. I do not trust these people and would NEVER give them another opportunity to rip me off, again.nUpdate: The response below is misleading; it is not from the owner, and they were unable help to me whoever they are.

My first time back to gym since Covid. I just realized how much I missed working out! Looking forward to my next workout. Everyone was social distancing and cleaning before and after they used the equipment.
