I recently worked with Ashley Heitkamp and her paralegal, Rachel on a complicated custody issue. I was so grateful for the care and attention they gave our case and their extensive knowledge of the law. They were extremely upfront and honest with me about what to expect and potential outcomes for our family. They showed great integrity in working our case and respected my wishes on how I wanted things handled. They were relentless in their pursuit of information and won many motions for us because of their attention to detail. They didn’t back down on the issues they knew were important to me and they went above and beyond to help my children and ultimately, to help me gain primary custody. They were always quick to respond and I never felt like they were misleading or taking advantage of us or suggesting approaches that would be more profitable for them. They genuinely cared about the outcome for my family and how any decisions we made could affect us down the road. There is nobody I would trust more with my family’s lives.

I have worked with Ashley Heitcamp (and, in the process also Rachel and Scott Brand) during a family law case after I found out my now ex husband abused our infant. My case was extremely unique and intensive, and included Juvenile court considerations and also worked parallel to a criminal case. Ashley was extremely knowledgeable and honest. Her assumptions on how our case would turn out (regardless if it was news I wanted to hear or not), were spot on. Scott provided insight to the criminal proceedings and there was a team effort helping me understand how that would alter our family law case potentially. They treated my case like the most important case they had (although I’m sure I wasn’t! I never could tell the difference though!)nnThere just aren’t enough positive things to say about this group of attorneys.
