No-one likes the tax collector but it is a necessary office and piece of the machine that helps provide the services brought to us by government. I recommend never having a verbal agreement but that you insist on receiving a written, signed, and sealed copy of all agreements with the tax department. Thanks much Westerly Tax Collection Office and workers!

It would nice if you folks would return the phone calls people must leave on your answering machine. I'm very upset with the tax collectors office and I've left 8 messages and Ms. Burke hasn't returned one phone call. Very unprofessional!

These people are awful. They never return your call, and then when you finally get someone on the phone, they are very unhelpful and snap at you with every question. Outrageous! I was trying to pay my tax bill. I have noticed this the other time or times I have called. Can't the Town of Westerly do better??
