Great place, with lots of history. It is interesting -- and manageable -- enough for all ages, including small kids. There's also a nice little nature center across the street and hiking nearby.nnThe first time I went, I came with several family members when we were all visiting out of state -- only to be disappointed to see that it was closed that day. However, the Office Manager saw us peeking through the windows, came out and kindly gave us a detailed, private tour!

Enjoyed our tour. Also had a very nice gift shop featuring books about Denison family history.nVolunteers were knowledgeable and kind. Well worth a stop!

This is a beautiful, historic place to visit just outside of downtown Mystic. Dating back to the 1600's there's plenty to learn about that time period. The farmers market on Sundays features some of the best produce I've ever seen. It's a great day out for the family.

My husband and I visited way back in ca 1966- 7. The caretaker a Mrs Maxon was kind enoughto show us around. She was verynice and allowed me to wear a very old lovely hat. We very gently looked through the family bible. The odd thing was her son Bert was sleeping in a back room..long story short B ert married my younger sister. They are still married and reside closeby. We have been on return visits with all three of our children. GOD Bless

It was a good 2.2 mile walk to the nature center.
