Marlin is a consummate professional who I trust with all my family vehicles, foreign and domestic. Friendly, inviting clean professional shop...no spilled gas and oil all over the floors in his place! I really cant say enough about this man, his diagnostic and repair skills and his shop. Mystic is lucky.

Amazing customer service and amazing service! I was having an issue with my brakes and they got me in the same day, figured out the issue, and had them replaced that afternoon. Easy to talk to, honest, great people. Cannot say enough good things about my experience! I will not go anywhere else again.

I called Marvin on a Tuesday to let him know that my car has again broke down. As he fixed one of the 5 potential coils that should be looked at on my 07 Volvo, I wanted him to take another look because it sounded and acted the same way. He stated he was backed up that day and there was a storm coming Wednesday and asked if I could wait a couple days before towing. I understood this, things happen. I rented a car for one week due to my job needs which gave me time not to worry other than the financial strain of both car rental and broken car.nnI called Marvin on Friday to ask if it was okay to tow now. He said may have time to look at it if I got it there by noon, but worse case it would be on Monday. Which I did, by noon.nnI did not hear on Friday. I called Monday. He stated he ran a diagnostic computer check and it has a misfire. It could be coils or spark plugs or both but did not have time to figure that out on Monday or look closely.nnI stated that I had my rental car until Wednesday and it was costing me a lot to do and to please look and repair by Wednesday.nnI called Wednesday and Marvin stated he again had not looked at the car and was 3 weeks behind with other customers who already had appointments and that he has no clue what is wrong with my car.nnI reminded him, as he forgot, that he TOLD ME on Monday it was coil or spark plugs.nnToday is Thursday. I called this morning and he said it's not his problem. That I should never have had it towed there if I was in such a rush and he told me several times he was already 3 weeks behind.nnWhen asked why he did not tell me this 8 days ago and $619.00 later on a rental car he became furious over the phone and told me I am welcome to come get the car or to tow it elsewhere.nnI reminded him that he is the one who told me to have it towed Friday with no mention it would take over a week to fix.nnWhen he called to tell me it was ready the fee was $382.97 and it was coils and spark plugs and come get the car. When I called 30 minutes prior to pick up he informed me that my timing belt was worn and it is $800-900 to fix and if I do not fix it then the motor will freeze and the car will die.nnI asked him why he was telling me this information as I was almost on my way to getting the car, his response was that he does not have the time for this until September. My question was why did he not tell me upon letting me know it was my coils.nnI would have called AAA to have the car towed to another garage to fix the timing belt as it is dangerous to drive, my car will die if it breaks, and I could die going over the Gold Star Bridge.nnHe screamed at me over the phone and said he was busy and he hung up.nnI own a business. I am fair and patient. He has had multiple chances to do the right thing but instead felt that accosting me over the phone for his overextended schedule was my fault. I have never met a more unprofessional and rude mechanic in my entire life. Thanks for putting my life at risk Marvin and thanks for the $1000 bill this week plus another week of timing headaches.nnps- My friend took a car in to have you look at her AC. You quoted her $600 because you need to remove the entire jeep dash. Good thing she took it to Auto Zone for a $40.00 remedy right? After I recommended you.

Went to Broadway Auto to try to reduce the cost of repairs i usually pay at dealership. After repair and conversation with owner repair costs were as much if not more than dealership.

Marlin has been our family mechanic for the past twenty years. He has helped to inspect any used vehicle we ever wanted to purchase so that we could have peace of mind that we were buying a reliable car. He has conducted the regular maintenance on our vehicles, from routine oil changes, tune ups, and tire replacements to the bigger “mid-life” care we needed as our cars hit the 100,000 mile mark. Things like replacing timing belts, water pumps, struts, brakes, etc. Marlin always carefully explained what he thought was best for our vehicles, and especially helped us to understand when he thought it was time for a part to be replaced for our safety. Any time I heard a squeak or a rattle he always fit us in, even on days where I could tell the parking lot was full to bursting. I can’t speak highly enough about the customer service at Broadway Auto. There have been so many times Marlin and his staff have “saved the day” with a simple plugged tire when we were in a rush or a last minute check up we needed before taking our van across the country. We’ve moved away now for career reasons and I still call Marlin for a second opinion before letting another mechanic fix our car! He has saved us money multiple times even just with these over the phone consults because he is so honest and knowledgeable.
