Well, if any eatery can make the al fresco dining fun, Mystic Depot Roasters has it wired. We have only been there three times--we live more than an hour away, but each time has been better than the last.nnWe had one grilled corn muffin and one grilled cheddar and chive scone, and oh my. Now I will have to grill every muffin I serve my hubby. These were outstanding.nnAnd, of course, the cold-brewed coffee is wonderful as usual. We ordered at the front patio table, and our pastries were served hot and in a timely manner, even though they were quite busy and observing strict social distancing and masks in public areas. It's obvious they are prepared to do their thing with excellence and extreme health precautions. Thank you!nnWe stayed about an hour, and no one hurried us at all. A train even pulled in and out, adding to the fun.

Great food, great service. Cute little patio area by the train track to sit and relax. Their breakfast sandwiches are to die for. Ignore recent negative reviews. This is not a restaurant that takes reservations. They are a tiny coffee shop and there was an enormous line today that 3 employees had to tackle entirely on their own with a single small grill to work on. I witnessed it and some people left cursing loudly in front of their children because they had to wait for food. Good riddance! Andrea is a sweetheart and her and her coworkers were working their behinds off making sure everyone was taken care of. She gave us some complimentary baked goods to thank us for our patience. I swear people who have never worked a service job shouldn't be eating out at all. I would never scream at a young girl who is clearly overwhelmed with a hugely long line (busiest I've ever seen it in all my visits). We are frequent customers here for a reason, and it's the food and the wonderful staff.

Ordered from here and the people were very nice but the food and coffee were not good. Pancakes were undercooked and the centers are full of batter. Corn muffin was grilled not that good didn't really have a corn muffin taste. Ordered 2 coffees one of them was great for the first few sips then turned terrible. Second coffee was just bad from the start. Waste of money.

Had the Western. Soggy and bland home fries. The one piece of toast was barely toasted (we asked for white and got rye). Eggs were ok, but cold. Service ok, but seemed short staffed. Atmosphere was nice. All in all the food was unappealing at $9.99 with a $2.89 20oz. Coffee.
