This is an awful firm!!! GKL law is in fact contracted through the state of Connecticut. No good lawyer is going to take $50 an hour from the state!!! I was totally deceived! When a law firm is contracted through the state they do what the state thinks is best... not what’s best for your child. If he loses your case it’s a steady paycheck for him, if he wins your case payment stops... it’s in their best interest to lose your case so they can continue to get paid. This firm is incompetent and they do not communicate with each other at all one will lie and tell you everything looks good for court then they will send someone with no knowledge to your trial and side with the state!!! If you want to win your case do not hire this firm you will lose. Any law firm who takes pennies from the state is (1) desperate(2)low budget and (3)not a strong lawyer. Do your research when hiring an attorney.

If I could give zero stars I would!!Hired one attorney and case was constantly being shuffled between lawyers which ultimately led to my child’s case being in the hands of Attorney Ghidini. Attorney Ghidini advocates for the state of Connecticut and does whatever DCF thinks is best. He totally attacked me and my husband in court and even though all the other attorneys at the firm have had nothing bad to say about me or my child’s living conditions they sent him to court and he totally went with the DCFs recommendation. He is very unprofessional and never even introduced himself to me or my husband as he was sent by this firm to represent my child at trial. He has no backbone in the courtroom and will lead your child right into the arms of DCF!!! He even swore at me and my husband as he was leaving the courthouse for absolutely no reason!!! He has a very bad temper and I wouldn’t recommend him or this firm to anyone. I have since taken my complaints to the BAR association.

Worst firm I have ever experienced. They are contracted by the state. They lie and are horrible. They will lose your case to state so they could continue to get a check. We were winning our case until this firm destroyed everything ... and racist
