Phil is a great barber! I always come back feeling like a new person! I highly recommend him as a barber. Never disappointed with any service from him!
Firstly, Phil is an amazing guy. Personable, inviting, extremely knowledgeable at his craft. The experience I've had is like no other. Being a woman coming into a barber shop, your aren't always welcomed with open arms however Phil made me comfortable from minute one. He did a FANTASTIC job and has one of the most comfortable shampoo chairs I've ever sat in (ladies, no headache from the normally huge bump under your neck)! Not only did Phil take the time to listen to me, but he REALLY listened to me following up with questions bringing ideas to the table that I had ruled out or hadn't even considered. To the aesthetics, the chair is awesome and only wish I could add one to my decor. The whole vibe overall is unique, and a welcomed change from typical barber shops and salons I've been in (and that's quite a few). Phil is by appointment only, but you can text the phone number and set it up, it's just that easy. If you're looking for a knowledgeable, skilled, conversational, friendly experience (with a fantastic haircut to boot) this is definitely the place to get all that and more! Thanks Phil, I've found my spot!!
Phil is a 10/10. He does knock out haircuts for affordable prices and the quality is unmatched. He considers your style, what look you're going for and most importantly grow out. As he has taught me its not about the hair you cut but sometimes the hair you don't.nnI travel hours to go see him because he is not local to me, but i would never go anywhere else. BEST OF CT, BEST OF USA.

Phil at Good Rats came highly recommended from a buddy of mine. I was expecting another team of barbers in a large shop. When I arrived I noticed the sign said appointment only, so I was a little nervous I wouldn’t be able to get a cut. Single chair place, very old school. Phil was able to slip me in between his appointments, and I’m very happy I stopped in. BEST HAIRCUT I’VE EVER GOTTEN. This dude has it down to an art. This is definitely my last stop in terms of a barber. Thanks Phil, and thanks Tina and Jeff for the awesome recommendation!
