Total lack of proper phone etiquette and just etiquette in general. I called to place an order for pick up and the lady on the phone promptly directed me to their website despite me having to order just one item. Maybe she’s not good at taking orders and messes them up over the phone? I was put off by that but placed an order on the website but the website didn’t have any form field for me to enter my credit card details. So I called China Chef lady again so I could give her my credit card details and she yelled at me telling me she could not take my card and that I placed the order on the wrong website, since there are two China chef locations. The people at other Asian restaurants have been so nice and courteous despite not being fluent in English, and they’re food is way better than China Chef’s food. Take your money elsewhere for courteous service.
TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Called them to inform them that not only was my food uncooked but anything I ordered that had juices in them were spilled everywhere. The woman on the phone told me to not order from them anymore and the proceeded to hang up the phone in my face ! I asked for a refund and was told I had to return the food In order to get a refund ?!?!? I guess they’re just reselling the food that gets sent back , if you want good food for cheap prices and great customer service, go to china wok because these guys are terrible .
Stopped going here because the food got terrible. If you want GREAT food and are willing to pick it up yourself go to Food Star it’s top shelf. They don’t deliver
highly do not recommend!!! lady on the phone was VERY rude. she gave me a attitude about her messing my order , and made me come in to get it replaced when i asked for it to be for delivery. first and LAST time ever eating there.
China Chef in Hamden redesigned their restaurant by adding a thick plastic wall by the register and a slider for the food pick up. They took away the seating area.
